India bond, link-stitch edition of Naming
|
Valentine’s Day 2004
Around 200 copies of Naming
have been printed from Bembo types on dampened hand-made India Bond paper and
bound between boards with a link-stich by Julia Leonard. The twenty-five
fifteen-line sections that comprise this single long poem are printed recto
with original calligraphic marks by Cheryl Jacobsen printed in blue on verso
and along the end pages. 52 copies of this book are printed on Nideggen paper;
these are bound in full cloth and lettered A-Z and aa-zz. Finally, a special
edition of 13 copies of Naming is printed on
Johannot, a French mouldmade paper. These copies are bound in a lap-component
binding with blue leather on the spine and fore-edge and Fabriano Roma, a
hand-made cover paper over the boards. These thirteen are lettered in Greek and
housed in a black clamshell box made by Judi Conant.
